Dine Out With Friends at Taste Cafe & Bistro. Open since 1990, Taste is a cozy European style restaurant where guests can view chef/owner Bill Karaki prepare each dish from scratch. Their European influence menu features items such as herb-roasted chicken, grilled rabbit, escargots, pastas, organic salads, exceptional soups and au gratin potatoes. The marvelous fresh made brioche bread pudding, apple galette and chocolate torte should not be missed. Come join us for a great meal that is like a slice of Europe in the heart of lovely Pacific Grove. Tell them you're a Friend of Pacific Grove Library and they will donate a portion of their proceeds for the night to the Friends. This is a delicious way to support the library.

If your bookshelves are looking empty, or your “must read” list growing short - never fear! Visit the Pacific Grove Public Library arcade from 10 am until 4 pm to find wonderful buys in books, puzzles, CDs and more.

All proceeds benefit the Library’s community of readers and learners. If you’re a member of the Friends, you get a nice discount. And yes, we’re happy to have you become a member at the Sale!

If you would like to donate books, CDs, or puzzles, you may make your donation at the circulation desk at the front of the library. Donated books need to be resalable (very dirty, discolored, mildewed, damaged or detached covers, old text books, old computer books, etc. are not suitable for resale). Please don’t donate books that you wouldn’t consider buying yourself. Puzzles are especially welcome! Thank you.

Petra Restaurant is a longtime, family-run establishment that draws on influences from all over the Mediterranean - Jordanian, Lebanese, Egyptian, Greek, Syrian - for a uniquely cosmopolitan take on Middle Eastern food. The result is a spectacularly rich and diverse treat for the palate. Enjoy favorites such as dolmades, spanakopita, gyros and kebabs. Plates of tabbouleh, falafel nuggets and baba ghanouj will satisfy vegetarians. A nice finish is a cup of strong Turkish coffee and a piece of baklava. Peppers Mexicali Cafe is a casual restaurant with a Southwestern-styled decor specializing in Latin American cuisine with an emphasis on fresh seafood. Owners, Lisa and Sean Weiman, work with a loyal and talented crew to serve good food at reasonable prices. They are proud to have a strong local following and to be consistently voted one of the area's favorite restaurants. They have a full bar with a regional wine list. They're open for lunch and dinner, 11:30am - 9:00pm. Tell them you're a Friend of Pacific Grove Library and they will donate a portion of their proceeds for the night to the Friends.
