Kim Steinhardt
Thursday, April 19, 2018 - 7:30pm to Friday, April 20, 2018 - 8:45pm

Join environmental writer, marine wildlife photographer, and long-time Monterey Bay resident Kim Steinhardt as he discusses The Edge: The Pressured Past and Precarious Future of California's Coast. This new book, co-written with Prof. Gary Griggs, is a celebration of the coast's natural and cultural uniqueness and a warning of the many complex changes that threaten that uniqueness in a time of climate change and expanding human activity.  This evening's talk will include dramatic coastal photos, an update on the most recent developments in the sea otters' struggle to recover from near extinction, and a sneak preview of Kim's next book project.
